Job Description

The Opportunity

We have a rare opening for someone looking for a new career in remote operations, as a USV Trainee to pilot Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USV) across various offshore projects. If you are curious about trying something new in remote systems, this could be a great fit for you.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in piloting and navigating USVs under supervision, learning to maintain spatial awareness and monitor vessel positioning.

  • Assist in eROV operations including launch and recovery from the USV, piloting and maintenance.

  • Support the launch, recovery, and safe operation of USV systems, following established safety protocols.

  • Learn to use sonar, acoustic positioning, radar, and other subsea and marine navigational tools to aid in remote operations.

  • Help maintain USV equipment and systems in line with planned maintenance schedules, including basic fault identification.

  • Accurately record operational data, dive logs, and maintenance activities while adhering to company procedures and safety standards.

We are looking for:

  • A strong interest in marine technology, remote operations, or autonomous systems.

  • Basic understanding of navigation principles, subsea and maritime. (training will be provided).

  • Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures in offshore and remote environments.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in a technical, mechanical, or maritime setting.

  • Electrical background, communications & networking.
