Job Description
The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a dynamic USV Operator to pilot the safe and efficient operation of Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USV) across various offshore projects. If you're currently working with ROV’s and are curious about trying something new or looking to combine both roles, this could be a great fit for you.
Responsibilities include:
Pilot the USV safely to work sites, maintaining spatial awareness and monitor vessel positioning.
Complete eROV operations including launch and recovery from the USV, piloting and maintenance.
Use sonar, acoustic positioning, and navigational aids to support accurate navigation and task execution.
Operate and maintain USV systems in line with planned maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
Record dive data and system performance, ensuring all logs and documentation are complete and compliant.
Assist in fault diagnosis, spare parts ordering, and reporting of system deficiencies in accordance with company procedures.
About You
This role will suit someone who is adaptable, with the ability to stay focused, think critically, and operate with precision in a dynamic environment. Your genuine interest in remote systems will help you be successful in this fast-evolving field.
We are looking for:
IMCA accredited ROV Training.
Prior experience operating ROVs or USV’s in offshore or remote environments.
Familiarity with planned maintenance procedures and fault diagnosis on marine systems.
Ability to follow safety protocols and comply with international and national maritime regulations.
Confident in documenting operations, reporting hazards, and maintaining accurate dive logs.
Nice to have:
Electrical background, communications & networking.
Experience with smaller ROV’s.
