Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious and skilled software engineer to join the maritime software development team.
Within this team, you are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for remotely operated and autonomous vessels. Your work directly contributes to the advancement of maritime autonomy, focusing on the control and integration of robotics and advanced navigation systems.
Our innovative USV’s and eROV’s are widely celebrated within the maritime industry. Our products are used for subsea inspections, seafloor mapping and environmental monitoring, reducing operational costs, human risks, and CO2 emissions.

Your role
Develop, extend, maintain and support software components and user interfaces related to vessel control and operations;
Test, debug and optimise software to ensure reliable operation in challenging marine environments;
Produce proper documentation and code in compliance with certification agencies.
Assume responsibility and take ownership of assigned projects from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring successful outcomes:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components for robotic systems;
Ensure software safety, compliance, and adherence to industry standards.
Your track record
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years prior work experience utilising relevant technologies;
Strong programming skills in C#, C++, Java or similar object-oriented languages;
Understanding of MVC user interface technologies such as Angular or WPF;
Experience of agile development and SOLID design principles;
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
It is considered a plus if you have
Experience of embedded systems, Python, SQL, Azure DevOps;
Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and real-time operating systems;
Knowledge of autonomous navigation, machine learning and AI;
Experience with marine robotics or unmanned systems.
