Fugro is pleased to announce that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Energy Competency status.

This designation recognises that Fugro has demonstrated deep expertise in helping clients leverage AWS cloud technology in complex data systems, such as Fugro’s ROAMES, to accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future for a safe and liveable world. ROAMES, which provides remote asset monitoring and vegetation analysis for Fugro’s power utilities clients, is just one example of many of Fugro’s Geo-data solutions that apply AWS technology in this way.

Achieving the AWS Energy Competency differentiates Fugro as an AWS Partner with in-depth expertise and technical proficiency within the energy industry, including proven client success developing solutions across the value chain, from production operations and optimisation, to new energy solutions, and much more. To receive the designation, Fugro underwent a rigorous technical validation process, including a client reference audit. In turn, the Energy Competency status allows energy clients to select with confidence the long-term partners who can accelerate their most ambitious digital transformations.

Pawel Michalak, Global Innovation Director for Fugro said: “Developing disruptive innovation to support the energy transition is at the heart of what we do. Our team is committed to supporting our clients in achieving their goals by leveraging Fugro’s agility, breadth of services, and pace of innovation, and that of our partners.”
