On 3 February 2021, Fugro became aware of a cyber security incident at Accellion, a California-based third-party supplier.

This resulted in unauthorised access by hackers to some of Fugro’s data shared through a secure file transfer application (FTA) provided by Accellion. There was no access to data on Fugro’s systems.

The incident is being thoroughly investigated by Fugro’s experts, who had already ceased Fugro’s use of Accellion’s FTA product responsible for the cyber security breach as a part of updating their IT framework.

Investigations are ongoing to understand what specific data was exposed. Based on an initial analysis, no personal data or share price sensitive data was accessed. Fugro is in contact with Accellion to perform a further analysis of the information that was breached, following which any further appropriate actions and measures will be taken.
