Job Description

A crucial position for an Aftermarket and Rental Manager has become available here at Fugro. We're looking for a seasoned industry and product expert who will play a key role in driving the growth of both the Aftermarket and Rental businesses within the Marine Inspection and Monitoring (MIM) service line.

This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and the development of long-term client relationships. You will also be responsible for identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, expanding the customer base, and enhancing revenue and profitability.

Reporting directly to the Service Line Manager, the role is responsible for ensuring that all aftermarket and rental activities are executed effectively by the relevant teams, through structured planning, coordination, and performance oversight. You will work collaboratively across Business Development, Tendering, Operations, Projects, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Purchasing, Workshop, Logistics, and Finance Teams to support customer growth and retention strategies. You will have direct line management responsibility for the Rental Equipment Coordinator, ensuring effective coordination of rental operations, resource planning, and performance management. Additionally, you will maintain functional responsibility for offshore tooling technicians, ensuring they have the necessary support, resources, and training to perform their roles safely and effectively. You will provide regular feedback and guidance alongside the Operations Manager to enhance their skills, ensure compliance with operational standards, and drive continuous improvement.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in aftermarket services and/or rental operations

  • Strong background in customer relationship management and business development

  • Knowledge of marine energy industry regulations and standards

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills

  • Someone who understands cost drivers and profitability levers

  • A person who takes initiative and ensures timely, high-quality outcomes

  • An individual that builds trust and value with clients, ensuring high satisfaction

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure offshore tooling technicians are effectively prepared for mobilising onto projects, ensuring readiness, safety, and accurate reporting

  • Oversee and ensure effective management of rental fleet availability, utilisation, and maintenance through the Rental Equipment Coordinator and support teams.  Ensuring processes and resources are in place to support timely delivery and return of rental equipment

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring appropriate client engagement is maintained, acting as escalation point when required

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Collaborate with Business Development to expand customer base and service offerings

  • Monitor and drive performance metrics to increase revenue and profitability across aftermarket and rental services

  • While not directly responsible for day-to-day offshore operations, the role ensures offshore tooling personnel are supported through functional leadership, resource planning, and performance feedback in collaboration with operations manager. Promote a culture of continuous improvement
