At Fugro, we’re passionate about providing reliable marine assets to support our clients’ projects safely and sustainably. As the plant supervisor for the WaveWalker 1, a unique non-self-propelled walking jack-up barge, you’ll ensure its technical reliability and constant readiness for client or internal deployment. Based at our Bickland Office in Falmouth, you’ll balance on-site supervision with strategic asset management, driving availability and compliance with UK QHSE legislation, classification society, and Flag state requirements.
What you’ll do:
* Oversee technical and mechanical operations of the WaveWalker 1, ensuring its the jack up barge is always deployment-ready.
* Develop and execute annual maintenance plans to minimise downtime and maintain availability.
* Manage the repair and maintenance budget, securing approvals and optimising costs.
* Act as the key interface between on-site maintenance teams and office-based planning to ensure operational readiness.
* Ensure full compliance with UK QHHSE legislation (e.g., LOLER, PUWER), classification society standards, and Flag state regulations.
Who we’re looking for:
* 5+ years in marine engineering or asset management, with supervisory experience.
* Strong knowledge of jack-up barge systems / marine assets, maintenance planning, and UK QHSE legislation (e.g., LOLER 1998, PUWER 1998).
* Expertise in classification society (e.g., DNV, Lloyd’s Register) and Flag state compliance.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and a proactive, innovative mindset.
