Job Summary:
Support the laboratory programme management team in the development and monitoring of laboratory testing programmes. Assist in the information flow between the project delivery team and/or external clients and the laboratory. Monitor progress against delivery schedule to help ensure that projects are delivered to budget, to specification and that results are delivered on time. Communicates status and changes. Assists more senior colleagues in planning activities and escalate difficult cases to them
Key responsibilities:
Timely Deliverables:
Assist in developing testing programmes/schedules for assigned projects and communicate requirements to laboratory team.
Monitor laboratory test progress against required schedule to help ensure all projects are delivered on time.
Ensure timely receipt and process of required test programmes and test conditions
Communication:
Assist in the information flow between the project delivery team and/or external clients and the laboratory.
Be point of contact for internal clients for smaller assigned projects with support from Laboratory Programme Managers. This mainly involves attending weekly update meetings, responding to emails and telephone calls and acting as liaison between the internal client and laboratory teams.
Ensure that internal/external clients are kept updated on changes in project timing or deliverables.
QHSSE:
Help in maintaining accreditation of the laboratory and promote good QAQC practices for all staff
Adhere to all Fugro QHSSE Management systems, policies and standards at all times.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor
A Degree or post graduate qualification in Project or Programme Management or in Geotechnical / Civil engineering (desired)
Working experience: 0-3 years
Relevant project or programme management skills and experience (desired)
Others:
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills (required).
Use of Project Management software (desired)
