For our GroundIQ team, we are looking to expand our software capabilities with an ambitious and inspirational Tech Lead.

As the Tech Lead, you play a pivotal role in guiding the technical direction of our subsurface mapping solutions.

You lead by example, together with a team of product managers, skilled developers, and scientists. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and maintaining the technical excellence of GroundIQ.

GroundIQ is a revolutionary new approach for mapping and modelling subsurface conditions faster, easier, and more sustainably. By combining advanced ground imaging with targeted geotechnical observations, it reduces the need for extensive exploratory site investigations, enabling engineers to make data-driven decisions for improved ground risk management globally.

Your role

• Provide strategic technical leadership and inspire a high-performing development team;

• Architect commercially viable and scalable software solutions for subsurface intelligence;

• Drive product innovation and integrate emerging technologies in the geophysical and geotechnical domains;

• Collaborate closely with Product and Business leadership to define and execute the product roadmap;

• Lead the planning and delivery of software projects focused on achieving business growth targets;

• Mentor and develop your team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment;

• Communicate technical vision effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Our tech stack

• Fronted: React and Typescript;

• Backend: Python and Typescript;

• Cloud: AWS (Cloud architecture, CloudWatch, CloudFormation);

• DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines;

• Database Management: SQL and NoSQL databases.

Your track record

• MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams, preferably in a tech start-up environment;

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C/C++;

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines;

• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud);

• Experience in designing and architecting scalable and robust software solutions;

• Experience with agile methodologies and (product management) tools.
