As Team Lead for Fugro’s Geo‑Data Innovation Team in our Brisbane office, you will guide a team responsible for the core data processing capabilities that underpin Fugro’s digital platforms and products. This includes transforming raw survey data into trusted, georeferenced datasets that support solutions such as Fugro ROAMES®, GeoSuite, and other downstream analytics. The role combines people leadership with technical stewardship, working closely with product, technical, and domain leads to deliver reliable, production‑ready solutions at scale—while staying closely connected to client needs and real‑world operational outcomes.
On a typical day you will:
Lead and support a team of engineers in providing clarity on priorities, planning, and ways of working across the team.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Technical Leads to shape delivery and technical direction as well as work across teams to align dependencies and communicate needs.
Influence how core Geo‑Data processing capabilities evolve, with a focus on scale, quality, and reliability.
Help translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
Engage directly with clients and operational teams to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and ensure technical outputs align with real‑world use cases.
Adjust priorities and delivery plans based on customer impact, ensuring the team remains responsive, outcomes‑focused, and able to integrate client feedback into continuous improvement.
