Job Description
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will support Senior Geotechnical Engineers in site characterisation and foundation engineering for structures located in or on the seabed, such as offshore wind turbine generators, intercontinental infrastructure and offshore platforms. You will contribute by delivering high‑quality soil characterisation under challenging conditions. This is a varied role that combines fieldwork with office-based reporting and engineering analyses, offering you continuous opportunities to further develop your geotechnical expertise.
Your role
You manage the entire workflow involved in acquiring, analysing, engineering, and interpreting geotechnical data, ensuring the delivery of accurate and customised solutions to our clients.
You independently provide geotechnical advice in straightforward situations, and in more complex cases you collaborate with Senior Geotechnical Engineers to develop solutions for clients by placing the acquired geotechnical data into the proper context.
You work offshore (approximately 120 days per year) as well as in the office on a wide range of projects across Europe and Africa, covering a broad variety of project types, scales, and complexities.
Together with a team of geotechnical engineers, you work offshore to acquire data, perform laboratory tests, and collect and process soil and/or rock samples.
You evaluate test results, perform engineering analyses, and compile all findings into a high‑quality report for our clients.
Your track record
You have a BSc or MSc degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Geology;
You have knowledge of and interest in soil investigation, soil mechanics and foundation engineering;
You have excellent communication and language skills in English (written and spoken);
You have a hands-on mentality, you are pro-active, analytical and you easily interact with other people internally and externally;
You hold a valid EU work permit.
