Job Description

Fugro is seeking a motivated and passionate Sustainability Intern to join our team. As a Sustainability Intern, you will support our Global Sustainability Advisor and the Global Sustainability team in implementing Fugro's sustainability vision into day-to-day practices. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability initiatives and contribute to meaningful projects that enhance our company's environmental and social impact. All team members have their own areas of expertise within sustainability, and frequent interactions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure ESG is fully embedded in our company’s practices.

What you’ll do

  • You assist in completing ESG benchmarking disclosures, including CDP, S&P Global CSA, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics, MSCI, and others.

  • You support the creation of educational content on sustainability topics, including Fugro's sustainability vision and mission, and how sustainability fits into Fugro's operations. This would include developing content on topics such as Fugro’s net-zero roadmap, offshore biodiversity solutions, reducing single-use plastics on vessels etc. This will involve collaborating with various teams and to distil this information.

  • You provide overall support to the Global Sustainability Advisor and the Global Sustainability team on various tasks related to sustainability practices.

Your track record

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to sustainability, environmental science, or a related field.

  • A passion for sustainability, environmental issues and sustainability legislation and transparency.

  • Familiarity with sustainability legislation (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy) and ESG Benchmarking platforms is not necessary, but preferred.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Fluent English writing and speaking skills.

  • Flexibility depending on your academic requirements, ideally between 3-6 months.
