Job Description
As a Proposal Manager you will develop proposals and cost estimations for our Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) projects in Europe. Fugro currently has three USVs operational in Europe with two more being delivered in this region early 2026. USVs are one of Fugro’s key focus areas to enabling delivery of our projects in a safer and more sustainable way. You will be part of a new regional team, responsible for its successful implementation. In this role you support the commercial manager and the regional business development team with responding to commercial opportunities with new and existing clients. You contribute to - and are part of client meetings, bid development, contract negotiation and bid strategy.
Your role and responsibilities:
The role can be based in either Fugro’s Aberdeen (UK) or Nootdorp (Netherlands) offices;
You will develop proposals, cost estimations and tender submissions for the USV Services Service Line, in accordance with relevant processes and procedures, and ensure proposals are produced on time and to the highest quality;
You will liaise with business development staff to assist in preparation of winning proposals and ensure that these are aligned with wider Fugro strategy and with the proposal requirements;
You will liaise with clients on a regular basis to build sound business relationships and you represent Fugro at client meetings for proposal clarification and contract negotiations;
You will provide hand-over briefings and onward commercial guidance to the project management team;
You will maintain the CRM systems and keep KPI monitoring tools up to date;
You will contribute to Fugro marketing strategy and assist in marketing of company activities.
What you’ll need to thrive in this role:
You will hold a BSc degree in a Business / Science related discipline;
You will have substantial knowledge of the Marine Energy industries;
You would ideally be experienced with contract review, tendering, project management, finance and/or accounting, or marine fieldwork, and you are able to deal with deadlines;
You are able to anticipate problems, ensure early intervention, are in the possession of excellent;
influencing and negotiation skills and strive for positive outcomes.
You enjoy working in a team and have good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
