Job Description

Fugro has long been recognized as a leader in providing high end worldwide Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) services.  Predicated on our proprietary reference network of GNSS receivers strategically placed around world, our GNSS services are based on a real time network and processing capability centered in Houston, Texas.  We are experts in this domain and have over 30 years of experience leading the maritime positioning market.   In joining our team, you will help support our legacy systems and be a key member in defining our next generation architecture.

The Service Line Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate invoicing and revenue recognition, and efficient cash collection, while supporting business operations through process optimization, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role provides strategic financial guidance to local management and delivers monthly performance reports to the Global Business Controller for Satellite Positioning

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.

  • Secure continuous revenue and cash by monitoring and supporting subscription sales activities and cash collection.

  • Ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition and perform cost controlling.

  • Conduct monthly financial analysis and reporting to the Global Service Line Controller and key local management, acting as the intermediary between the business and local shared service functions.

  • Support and advise local service line management on financial issues and handle administrative tasks related to the facilities.

  • Coordinate and enhance sales processes, serve as the primary resource for service line-specific business systems, and support effective change management

  • Assist and coordinate budget, forecast, and backlog reporting.

  • Secure accurate monthly financial reporting within deadlines.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.

  • Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial control roles.

  • Able to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyze existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical solutions that enhance performance, reduce costs, or improve accuracy.

  • Proactive and able to work independently, communicate clearly using Microsoft Teams, and enjoy being part of a supportive, global team, even when working remotely from colleagues in other locations and time zones.

  • Analytical skills for income and cost analysis and forecasting, able to meet reporting deadlines.

  • Organized and structured to handle large volumes of orders and customers.
