As the Strategic Business Leader, you will lead a team responsible for transforming a significant business from Geo-data services to Geo-risk solutions. This role extends beyond traditional management; it involves leading with innovative transformation strategies, focusing on digitalization, fostering an improved health and safety culture, and differentiating through equipment technology. You will oversee two service lines and drive the transformation strategy. Your leadership will provide vital geotechnical survey services onshore and along the marine coastal zone (nearshore). Your expertise in transitioning from equipment-focused services to efficient and value-differentiating businesses will be essential to our entire portfolio strategy.

As a leader in Geo-risk solutions, we invite you to step into the role of Strategic Business Leader based in the Netherlands. This position is tailored for those who have honed their skills in industry roles such as Operations Manager, Head of Operations, Senior Project Director, and Construction Manager. Your responsibilities will include scheduled global travel, approximately twice each quarter.

Your role

• You transform our site investigation services, leveraging operational excellence tactics, digitalisation of workflows, and equipment portfolios;

• You develop and implement strategic plans aligning with Fugro's vision;

• You develop partnerships with key technology suppliers and deliver differentiating solutions;

• You identify and share best practises ensuring excellence and efficiency in delivery;

• You mentor and grow a team of dedicated professionals;

• You build business cases for investment in impactful technologies or ventures;

• You oversee research, development, and asset management within the service line.

Your track record

• A degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, complemented by proficiency in business management;

• Demonstrated capability in driving strategic initiatives within senior leadership positions;

• Proven expertise in spearheading the transformation of service-oriented businesses;

• A consistent track record of effective leadership coupled with commercial acumen;

• Excellent communication skills in English, encompassing both verbal and written proficiency.
