Software QA Manager

Job Description

For our Satellite Positioning Team, we are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Manager to bring our critical software processes to the next level.

In this role, you develop, document, roll-out and maintain a Software Quality Assurance system. You work closely with our innovation teams in Nootdorp, Oslo and Houston. Although you do not have direct reports in the beginning, it is a high visibility position: you provide technical direction, coaching, guidance, and support to software development teams and report directly to the GNSS R&D head. Your strong interpersonal skills and vision on QA are instrumental in making our satellite positioning services even more accurate and reliable.

Your role

• You evaluate existing software development systems and develop quality objectives;

• You develop, roll-out and maintain software QA system based on requirements from the business;

• You take part in design and development of software plans and oversee the execution;

• You provide direction, coaching, guidance, and support to software development team members.

Your track record

• You have a MSc degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant field;

• You have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role or in the role of QA engineer in an industry that involves safe software processes, preferably automotive, practical knowledge of ISO 26262 is a strong plus;

• You have hands-on experience in design and implementation of a whole quality management system for software development, including quality planning, quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement;

• You have an innovative approach and always strive for operational excellence in all goals;

• You are pro-active, dynamic, dedicated, and responsible;

• You have strong interpersonal skills and good knowledge of the English language (verbal and written).
