Job Description

The role

We are looking for an Integration Engineer who will be part of the Fugro Blue Robotics Operations team. This role will predominantly be based in South East of England. You will be responsible for configuring, installing, and testing Fugro supplied survey/ICT equipment into new build uncrewed surface Vessels (USV). The Integration Engineer will support the initial commissioning and operation of the newly installed equipment through to delivery to the end user.

Your main duties will include:

  • Working with the build project delivery team to understand the build schedule and key dates relating to equipment integration.

  • Liaise closely with the commissioning supervisor to plan the integration of survey/ICT equipment and outline acceptance criteria and testing deliverables.

  • Pre-Configure the Survey/ICT equipment ensuring correct hardware/software is available and networks requirements are known.

  • Verify the equipment integration by completing a testing program and report on documented results.

  • Provide onsite support during product commissioning assisting with the testing and operation of the Survey/ICT equipment.

  • Assist with configuring/operating Fugro survey/ICT equipment during product Factory Acceptance Testing/Site Integration testing.

Who we’re looking for:

Aptitude and attitude are more important than formal qualifications for this role, but we would be looking for someone who demonstrates the following attributes:

  • Previous experience in the offshore industry, preferably with strong knowledge of Survey systems, Networking and ICT.

  • Willingness to travel and work onsite

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Full Driving Licence
