Job Summary:

The AI Business Analyst works with business stakeholders to identify, define and support delivery of AI, automation, and data-driven solutions relating to Fugro’s AI enabled Marine Ground Digital Twin Platform. The role translates business needs into clear requirements, supports adoption and enablement across APAC, and helps build or configure simpler solutions using approved Microsoft platforms where appropriate.

This is a 3-year fixed term contract for placement in Singapore, and only open to SG/PR candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Engagement & Requirements:

           Engage business stakeholders to understand challenges, processes and improvement opportunities.

•         Gather, document and prioritise requirements for AI, automation and data solutions.

•         Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery requirements.

•         Act as a bridge between business users and technical team members throughout delivery.

2. Use Case Discovery & Prioritisation

•   Identify opportunities where AI, automation or analytics can improve business processes.

•         Assess use cases based on business value, feasibility, effort and alignment with agreed priorities.

•         Maintain use case documentation, backlog items and status updates.

•         Support business case preparation where required.

3. Solution Support & Low-Code Delivery 

•         Build or configure solutions using approved Microsoft platforms such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365.

•         Support prototypes, proof-of-concepts and workflow automations.

•         Work with technical team members when solutions require advanced engineering, data integration or AI/ML development.

•         Ensure solutions are documented, maintainable and aligned with governance requirements.

4. Adoption & Enablement

•         Support adoption of AI, automation and data solutions across APAC.

•         Lead or support workshops, demos, training sessions and solution walkthroughs.

•         Create user guidance, FAQs, communications and enablement materials.

•         Gather feedback from users and translate it into improvement actions.

•         Support first-line business adoption needs and help route technical support issues appropriately.

•         Contribute to enablement and adoption planning for APAC AI team solutions.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

•         Analyse business data to identify trends, issues and improvement opportunities.

•         Create dashboards, reports or summaries using approved tools such as Power BI, Excel or Microsoft Fabric where appropriate.

•         Define success measures and help track adoption, usage and business impact.

•         Support data validation and interpretation with business stakeholders.

Requirements:

Education: Tertiary institution/ bachelor’s degree (Business, information systems, data analytics, computer science, engineering, digital transformation, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience)

Working experience: 3-5 years        

•         Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business stakeholders.

•         Experience translating business problems into clear technical, process or data requirements.

•         Experience with process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria and backlog support.

•         Experience supporting adoption, enablement, training, workshops or change activities.

•         Experience building simple solutions using Microsoft tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio or Microsoft 365.

•         Experience with Power BI, Excel, data analysis or reporting is favourable.

•         Understanding of AI, automation and data concepts.

•         Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.

•         Proactive approach to identifying opportunities, supporting users and driving solution adoption.

•         Experience working in agile or collaborative delivery environments.

Management experience: 0-1 years 

Formal people management experience is not required. Exposure to collaborative projects and agile delivery.

AI & IT expertise: Experience contributing to AI, automation, analytics or digital transformation initiatives through business analysis, stakeholder engagement, adoption support, data analysis or low-code delivery.
