Job Description
Our Europe & Africa organisation (EUAF) is scaling innovation by empowering business users to build secure, responsible and high‑value solutions through citizen development. As the Citizen Development Lead, you enable a safe and scalable citizen development ecosystem by ensuring solutions align with governance, leverage existing expertise, and deliver measurable business value. You foster a culture of simplicity, robustness and standardisation, while supporting teams in their growth, wellbeing and performance.
Your role
You scale citizen development safely by ensuring solutions follow governance, guardrails and best practices;
You drive standardisation in design principles, development processes and ways of working;
You ensure teams deliver solutions on time, within budget and leveraging existing expertise;
You build an innovative environment where people grow their skills and feel engaged and supported;
You collaborate with Global Programs, architecture and governance teams and regional leadership teams to align strategy and execution;
You ensure team members have the right capabilities and support their wellbeing and career development;
You orchestrate the use case pipeline and coordinate delivery across citizen developers and central teams;
You are accountable for the performance, engagement and development of your teams;
You actively contribute to the development of a Citizen Development Community to foster knowledge sharing on AI effectiveness and to advance AI capabilities across the Europe and Africa region.
Your track record
You bring 5–10+ years of experience in innovation, digital transformation or program management;
You hold a Bachelor/Master in Business, IT or a related field;
You have a background in software development or data engineering;
You have experience leading communities and cross‑functional initiatives;
You ideally hold certifications in low‑code/automation platforms, Agile or DevOps;
You are fluent in English and skilled in communication, change management and community building;
You have experience with CI/CD, DevOps metrics and citizen development practices.
What Fugro offers
A gross monthly salary between €8500 and 9500 gross a month, depending on your relevant experience;
29 holidays per year based on a fulltime employment (of which 4 are appointed by Fugro management) and the possibility to purchase 12 additional days;
