Job Description

Our Europe & Africa organisation is accelerating digital transformation through secure, scalable and high‑impact workflow automation. The Citizen Development team plays a central role in enabling business value through modern automation and AI capabilities. As an AI & Automation Architect, you define the architectural direction, guardrails and patterns that ensure safe, compliant and enterprise‑aligned adoption of hyperautomation and AI across the region.

Your role

  • You translate enterprise‑level architecture into domain architecture and design patterns for large‑scale workflow automation;

  • You design secure, compliant and scalable AI and automation solutions;

  • You establish standards, guardrails and reusable patterns that enable safe hyperautomation;

  • You act as a recognised expert and advisor to business and IT stakeholders;

  • You lead DevOps‑oriented development strategies (you build it, you run it, you own it);

  • You mentor colleagues and drive knowledge exchange across teams;

  • You collaborate closely with global enterprise architects to ensure alignment with guiderails;

  • You provide architectural guidance to project teams and citizen developers.

Your track record

  • You bring a minimum of 8 years of experience in architecture, AI and automation;

  • You have a background in software development or data engineering;

  • You have led cross‑team architectural decision‑making;

  • You hold certifications such as Cloud, TOGAF or AI credentials;

  • You communicate fluently in English;

  • You understand hyper automation, integration, governance and DevOps practices;

  • You work effectively with security, data and enterprise architecture stakeholders.

What Fugro offers

  • A gross monthly salary between €7700 and €8400, depending on your relevant experience;
