Job Description
The Land Inspection & Monitoring (I&M) service line at Fugro focuses on ensuring the safety, performance, and longevity of land-based infrastructure by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geo-data over time.
The Land Inspection & Monitoring Junior Project Manager will support project delivery from award through closeout by assisting with planning, documentation, and coordination between field teams, technical staff, and project leadership. Working under the supervision of a Project Manager, the Junior PM contributes to project readiness, data quality, and adherence to safety and quality standards while providing timely communication and administrative support. The role supports Project Managers on high complexity projects and can independently handle low complexity projects, helping ensure smooth execution and positive client interactions.
Base Salary Range for this position is $ 74,900.00 - 119,900.00 USD Annual
Job Responsibilities

Review project planning materials by conducting preliminary checks of estimates, cost setups, and basic design documents, escalating uncertainties or discrepancies to the supervising Project Manager for final verification.
Assist in preparing project reports, updates, and communication materials, ensuring timely information is shared with the Project Manager. Support the communication flow with clients by drafting updates and maintaining organized reporting tools as directed.
Monitor and document issues raised internally or by clients, promptly informing the supervising Project Manager of potential impacts to schedule, budget, or quality. Support resolution efforts by gathering details, tracking actions, and maintaining clear records.
Assist the Project Manager in monitoring project financials by gathering cost data, tracking expenses, and preparing basic financial summaries. Help process billing related documentation and ensure financial information is organized and up to date for review by the Project Manager.
Compile and organize financial inputs, such as direct hours, work in progress details, subcontractor updates, and expense records, to support the Project Manager in preparing invoice requests. Assist with preliminary comparisons of actuals versus budget, escalating discrepancies or concerns to the Project Manager for further analysis.
Monitor and update aging receivables reports and communicate any known technical or delivery related issues to the Project Manager for escalation to finance. Support collection efforts by providing documentation, status updates, or client related details as requested, under the direction of the Project Manager.
Provide timely updates to the supervising Project Manager on project completion status, technical issues affecting progress or invoicing, and any information needed for project closure. Assist in compiling status details so the Project Manager can communicate accurate updates to leadership.
Support the project closeout process by organizing documentation, verifying deliverables, and ensuring required quality records are complete and ready for Project Manager review. Help maintain compliance with quality system requirements by following established checklists and procedures.
Participate in team knowledge sharing by documenting lessons learned, updating internal tools or templates, and sharing process insights with peers when appropriate. Seek guidance from Project Managers and contribute to a collaborative learning environment rather than supervising or training others.
Support the identification of future business opportunities by maintaining positive, professional communication with clients during active projects and relaying potential leads or client needs to the supervising Project Manager. Assist by documenting client feedback, tracking requests, and helping ensure the project team stays aware of emerging opportunities without independently driving business development efforts.
Ensure accordance to company standards, industry standards, QHSSE policy and local regulations.
Job Requirements
Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport, possible international travel/assignments required.
High school diploma required, Degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or ability obtain is preferred.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
Have 5 years of experience in the industry. Foundational experience supporting project coordination activities such as organizing tasks, assisting with schedules, preparing documentation, and helping maintain project progress under the guidance of a Project Manager.
Possesses a working knowledge of basic project management tools, templates, and processes, and applies them with supervision. Continues to develop skills in scheduling, budgeting support, reporting tools, and standardized project workflows, seeking guidance as needed.
Demonstrates increasing ability to contribute to project delivery while continuing to learn full project lifecycle requirements.
Possess working knowledge of computers and fluent in a variety of software applications (including but not limited to MS Office, Avalon or ERP, etc.)
Ability to plan, organize, and function effectively in a dynamic environment, addressing multiple demands of production, clients, and affiliates.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, both internal and external.
Possess technical depth and creativity to be able to make sound decisions and to guide and direct project teams and multiple full project life cycles.
