Job Description
As Regional Director, Strategic Sales & Marketing at Fugro you play a central role in shaping the region’s commercial direction and driving sustainable growth. As part of both the Regional Management Team and the Global Strategic Sales Leadership Team, you partner closely with the Regional Group Director to translate global frameworks into regional execution. You build high‑performing, client‑centric teams, strengthen our position as a trusted advisor, and ensure commercial excellence through disciplined processes, strong market insight, and cross‑functional alignment.
Your role
Define and execute the regional sales strategy in line with global priorities, shaping clear value propositions and securing early market positioning.
Act as a strategic partner to Global Marketing, ensuring regional activities are objective‑driven and aligned with global frameworks.
Lead key and exploratory accounts, drive high‑impact pursuits, and guide commercial strategy based on market and competitive insights.
Elevate commercial maturity by embedding best practices, strengthening sales discipline, and ensuring full CRM adoption and accurate forecasting.
Grow a high‑quality sales funnel, improve conversion rates, and ensure seamless handovers to project execution teams.
Provide strategic market intelligence to inform pricing, solution design, and long‑term planning.
Build strong internal partnerships across regions and service lines to drive alignment and business growth.
Lead, coach, and develop a dispersed commercial team, fostering a high‑performance, inclusive culture.
Drive continuous improvement in customer experience and strengthen our trusted‑advisor positioning.
What you bring along
Senior commercial or strategic sales leadership experience in a complex, matrixed, multinational environment.
Proven ability to design and execute growth strategies aligned with global direction.
Demonstrated success in leading major pursuits and securing strategic wins.
Strong command of CRM‑driven sales discipline, forecasting, and pipeline management.
Experience transforming commercial functions and embedding modern sales practices.
Skilled in market analysis, competitive insight, and value‑based commercial decision‑making.
A track record of building high‑performing, geographically dispersed teams.
A leadership style grounded in values, collaboration, and long‑term client partnership.
