Job Description

At TotaLite, we transform asset monitoring with advanced optical sensor technology that detects structural movements with millimetre accuracy from up to 160 metres away. Our team is at the heart of our success, and we’re now looking for a Business Development Manager fuels TotaLite’s commercial growth. In this role, you attract new leads, close deals, build strong customer relationships, and showcase the value of TotaLite to monitoring experts, surveyors, engineers, and asset owners. By understanding their challenges and advising them proactively, you help ensure customer success and bring valuable market insights back to the team.

Your role

  • You lead generation through outbound sales activities, such as trade fairs, calling, e-mails and LinkedIn;

  • You manage a portfolio of existing customers, increase customer retention and up- and cross-sell;

  • You advise our customers on the use of TotaLite, train them and perform regular check-ins, incl. interpreting the data and providing data insights to the customer;

  • You research the market and customer needs and explore new market segment and prospect for new leads;

  • You help shape and support our marketing strategy and execution;

  • You provide product input based on customer feedback.

Your track record

  • You have 5+ years working experience of which a minimum of 2+ years in a commercial role;

  • You bring proven experience from the construction industry; expertise in geotechnics or surveying is a strong plus;

  • You have a BSc. In a relevant field (Engineering, Physics, Business or a similar);

  • You have strong analytical skills, customer-focus and a natural ability to connect & build relations;

  • You are fluent in English (Dutch, German, French or Spanish is a plus);

  • You possess a drive to change the industry in a dynamic startup.
