Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, North America, as an HR Operations Generalist, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR operational tasks and initiatives to support our employees and ensure efficient and effective HR processes. You will be involved in handling various HR transactions, providing excellent customer service to employees, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.

  • Utilize our Freshservice ticketing system to receive, prioritize, and handle HR requests and inquiries from employees, while continuously monitoring the system to ensure timely resolution and maintaining accurate records.

  • Oversee the entire employee life cycle by managing all Workday-related transitions, including new hires, terminations, job changes, and compensation adjustments, as well as coordinating comprehensive pre-hire activities such as extending offers and leading the onboarding process for both new hires and contingent workers.

  • Conduct verifications of employment and handle unemployment claims.

  • Demonstrate curiosity and a growth-oriented mindset to drive efficiency, elevate service quality, and deliver consistently positive outcomes for customers.

  • Respond to employee inquiries and guide HR policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Review existing HR operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks, and recommend and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and employee experience.

  • Work on special projects which can include: support compliance with immigration processes, efficiently use Workday for employee and manager assistance, perform regular HR data audits, prepare mandated reports (EEO, AAP, etc.), and contribute to various HR initiatives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. An associate’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred.

  • Possess 2 or more years of working knowledge of core HR operations (employee life cycle, data management, etc.).

  • Must have a data-driven approach to assessments and actions, including utilizing HR metrics to drive decision-making.

  • Possess a strong working knowledge of computers and are fluent in a variety of software applications (including but not limited to MS Office).

  • Possess working knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably Workday. SharePoint experience is a plus.

  • Candidates with AI experience, including machine learning or natural language processing, are encouraged to apply.

  • Working knowledge of immigration processes is highly desired.

  • SHRM and/or HRCI certification is preferred but not required.

  • Must have excellent and effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
