Job Description

Step into a role where your skill with geo‑data helps shape vital marine projects across Europe and Africa. As a GIS Specialist you will work at the heart of multidisciplinary teams who rely on your ability to turn complex field data into clear and accurate spatial insight. Your work supports informed decisions and it strengthens the quality of every project you touch.

This is an opportunity to grow your technical capability with industry leading tools while contributing to meaningful offshore work. You will collaborate with experts across geophysics, geology, surveying and data processing and you will play a key part in delivering high quality GIS products that meet exacting client standards. If you are ready to develop your craft and make an impact within a trusted global team this role offers the space to do it.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Produce GIS and spatial analysis outputs using ArcGIS Pro to support project delivery

  • Integrate multidisciplinary data into GIS databases and visualisations

  • Create databases, projects, charts, figures and metadata that meet client and internal standards

  • Manage and store project data in line with regional and client requirements and ensure full traceability

  • Integrate data from multiple sources with appropriate transformations and quality checks

  • Review survey data for completeness and accuracy and flag issues that require attention

  • Support quality assurance of datasets and deliverables and complete required project documentation

  • Work closely with project teams to meet quality, communication and timeline expectations

  • Provide basic GIS guidance to colleagues who are not GIS specialists and maintain clear communication on progress

  • Support the improvement of workflows by following established processes, and suggesting efficiency enhancements as you gain experience

  • Apply all health, safety and environmental requirements in daily work and report hazards or unsafe conditions

What you’ll need to thrive in this role:

  • Degree in a relevant science or survey discipline

  • Foundation level experience in GIS or a related technical field.

  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and an interest in developing skills with Enterprise databases

  • Basic understanding of Geodesy and how it applies to spatial data

  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary data sets and follow defined standards

  • Interest in developing Python skills, particularly with the ArcPy package

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality

  • Ability to manage and organise project data with full traceability

  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across geoscience, survey and reporting teams

  • Clear communication skills and confidence providing guidance to non‑experts

  • Commitment to health, safety and environmental requirements

  • Proficient English language skills
