As a GIS Specialist you will work at the heart of multidisciplinary teams who rely on your ability to turn complex field data into clear and accurate spatial insight. You will collaborate with experts across geophysics, geology, surveying and data processing and you will play a key part in delivering high quality GIS products that meet exacting client standards. Your role and responsibilities:
Produce GIS and spatial analysis outputs using ArcGIS Pro to support project delivery
Integrate multidisciplinary data into GIS databases and visualisations
Create databases, projects, charts, figures and metadata that meet client and internal standards
Manage and store project data in line with regional and client requirements and ensure full traceability
Integrate data from multiple sources with appropriate transformations and quality checks
Review survey data for completeness and accuracy and flag issues that require attention
Support quality assurance of datasets and deliverables and complete required project documentation
Work closely with project teams to meet quality, communication and timeline expectations
Provide basic GIS guidance to colleagues who are not GIS specialists and maintain clear communication on progress
Support the improvement of workflows by following established processes, and suggesting efficiency enhancements as you gain experience
Apply all health, safety and environmental requirements in daily work and report hazards or unsafe conditions
What you’ll need to thrive in this role:
Degree in a relevant science or survey discipline
Foundation level experience in GIS or a related technical field.
Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and an interest in developing skills with Enterprise databases
Basic understanding of Geodesy and how it applies to spatial data
Ability to work with multidisciplinary data sets and follow defined standards
Interest in developing Python skills, particularly with the ArcPy package
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
Ability to manage and organise project data with full traceability
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across geoscience, survey and reporting teams
Clear communication skills and confidence providing guidance to non‑experts
Commitment to health, safety and environmental requirements
Proficient English language skills
