Job Description
We are looking for an analytical Continuous Improvement Lead to strengthen our global improvement framework from our new head office in Nootdorp. In this role, you will drive long‑term, data‑driven improvements that enhance operational performance across all regions.
You turn analysis into action. By championing quality, structured learning, and consistency, you ensure improvements are sustainable and prevent issues from recurring. Your work strengthens global processes, making them more reliable and effective. You lead investigations into project leakages, lessons learned, and CAPA activities. Through clear dashboards, trend analysis, and root‑cause identification, you drive lasting process improvements and support our shift from quick fixes to preventive solutions. You collaborate closely with regional and global teams across Quality, Operations, HSSE, Project Management, Operational Excellence, and all relevant service lines

Your role
You analyse quality and operational data to identify trends, systemic issues, and improvement opportunities, using Pareto and other statistical tools to prioritise focus areas;
You lead structured investigations and you facilitate cross‑functional RCA sessions to ensure clear, evidence‑based root cause identification and audit‑ready outputs;
You manage the full CAPA lifecycle—from containment to verification—ensuring actions are clear, effective, evidence‑backed, and prevent recurrence;
You run workshops, retrospectives, and prioritisation sessions; and you track improvement outcomes;
You capture lessons learned from audits, NCRs, incidents, and project reviews, and you standardise and share them globally to strengthen organisational learning and prevent repeat issues;
You enable global functions to strengthen their procedures by offering CI expertise, tools, and best‑practice guidance that support consistency and traceability.
Your Track Record
You hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Process, Quality), Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field;
You bring at least 7 years of experience in Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence, with a proven ability to drive structured, data‑driven improvements;
You have solid experience in Engineering or Process Optimization, enabling you to translate operational realities into effective, sustainable solutions;
You possess a solid background in Quality Management and understand how frameworks such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 17025 define boundaries and ensure that improvements remain compliant;
You communicate clearly and confidently, enabling you to build cooperation, align diverse stakeholders, and drive improvement initiatives forward with credibility and trust.
What Fugro offers
Based on your relevant experience, the salary ranges from €5.000 to €6.500. This amount is part of our salary range, with opportunities for growth within the role;
