Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Land Inspection & Monitoring service line. This role can be based in any of our Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth based offices. This role focuses on promoting Fugro’s advanced aerial and vehicle LiDAR survey capabilities and inspection solutions, ensuring clients understand the value, accuracy and operational benefits of our technology.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying new business opportunities across the power utilities, government, renewable energy, infrastructure, water, climate and nature, generating leads and driving sales of Fugro’s LiDAR‑enabled inspection and monitoring solutions.

  • Lead the promotion of the company’s approach, capabilities and resources through client contact and presentations to develop and maintain relationships;

  • Growing revenue and market presence by developing targeted sales strategies, increasing brand visibility, invitations to tender and securing new contract opportunities;

  • Work closely with the Service Line Management and Commercial teams to ensure the smooth coordination of the estimation to the bidding process;

  • Acting as the bridge between clients and technical specialists when non‑standard or additional services are requested, ensuring accurate assessment, pricing and delivery planning.

About You

We are looking for someone who can build rapport quickly and is able to listen to clients and understand their needs. A self-starter who works well autonomously, as well as collaboratively.

Your success in securing this role will require:

  • A proactive approach to meeting with clients regularly to develop relationships and be front of mind for tender opportunities;

  • Experience working with LiDAR services;

  • Ability to translate technical requirements into scope and pricing, including understanding when a client request is standard vs. custom;

  • Demonstrating problem-solving skills with a passion for technologies to understand different concepts and solve clients’ problems;

  • Be available to travel regularly for client meetings.
