Your role and responsibilities:
Operationalise quality and HSSE policies, systems, programmes and practices across multiple projects or locations
Ensure alignment with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, local legislation, client requirements and operational needs

Update or develop local procedures when required
Support the Quality Systems Manager in maintaining effective Quality Management Systems
Contribute to the management and development of the UK Business Management System
Conduct internal audits and follow up on corrective actions
Support third party certifications, laboratory accreditations and scope extensions

Facilitate risk assessments and recommend effective controls
Ensure QHSSE requirements and controls are established and functioning before work begins
Provide guidance on permits, licences, management of change and dynamic risk assessments
Promote a culture of care, proactive risk management and continuous improvement
Build strong relationships with operational teams and provide mentoring and training
Maintain communication with clients and external stakeholders on QHSSE matters
Conduct site visits to understand operational challenges and support improvements
Provide technical advice and hands on support on QHSSE matters
Translate requirements into operational practice through instructions, procedures, tools and training
Act as focal point for assigned QHSSE topics and drive continuous improvement
Support a psychologically safe environment that encourages reporting of QHSSE challenges and events
Lead local event investigations and support investigations of more serious incidents
Report on HSSE metrics and use data to identify strengths, gaps and improvement opportunities
What you’ll need to thrive in this role:
