MARINE SURVEY DATA SPECIALIST – STUDENT INTERNSHIP 2026 (OFFICE BASED)

Location: Office Based, Data Centre, Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Data Specialist is responsible for the post processing of data including (but not limited to) navigation, positioning, bathymetric, multibeam backscatter and the operation of GIS and CAD systems for the production of GIS databases and charts.

Interns are typically assisting the Team Leader in the coordination of activities within the respective department, management and collation of geo-related data, and generation of client deliverables.

Basic Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Surveying (Land/Hydrography), GIS or a closely related discipline.

• Current level in University/ College Sophomore through Senior or Graduate Student.

• A minimum cumulative and Major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

• An interest and some experience in ERSI ArcGIS, AutoCAD and data processing software packages.

• A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks of availability for the internship.

• Candidates must have the right to live and internship in Malaysia.
