For individuals who can take the initiative, but work well within a team.
Job Purpose: Fugro is building a next-generation laboratory processing application that will transform how data is acquired and processed across our global network of laboratories. You will work closely with a Dutch-based team—including a Product Manager, UX Designer, and three developers—while being based in our Mumbai office. Your primary focus will be delivering a state-of-the-art React front end, integrated with C# services running in AWS and connected to Fugro’s central services and common data backbone.

•Lead React development for a global laboratory application.
•Collaborate with UX designers to create intuitive, responsive, and visually compelling interfaces.
•Integrate front-end components with backend services deployed in AWS.
•Participate in architectural discussions and propose innovative solutions.
•Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability of the front-end architecture.
•Advocate for best practices in modern front-end development.
Required Skills & Experience
•Senior-level React expertise (minimum 5 years in React, 7 to 8 years in front-end development). Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React hooks, and state management (Redux or similar).
•Experienced with automated testing including unit, integration and end-to-end tests (Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright)
•Proven experience working closely with UX designers and translating designs into functional interfaces.
•Solid understanding of web APIs and integration patterns.
•Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a distributed, international team.
•A proactive mindset: you speak up, take initiative, and suggest improvements confidently.
•Deep understanding of in-browser APIs: Solid knowledge of DOM, Shadow DOM, Media APIs, and other browser-native capabilities.
•Responsive and cross-browser development: Ability to build interfaces that work seamlessly across devices and browsers.
•UI Framework familiarity: Experience with Material UI (MUI) or similar component libraries.
•Version control expertise: Comfortable with Git beyond the basics, including handling complex workflows and resolving challenging merge scenarios.
Nice-to-Have
•Hands-on experience deploying and managing services in AWS.
•Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in AWS.
•Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration.
•Familiarity with Python and C# for backend or data processing tasks.
Why Join Us?
•Work on a global-scale application impacting Fugro’s laboratories worldwide.
•Collaborate with a high-performing international team based in the Netherlands.
•Be empowered to influence design and architecture decisions.
•Competitive compensation, benefits, and career growth opportunities.
