Job Description

VirGeo®, a flagship innovation initiative within Fugro, is seeking you, a UX Designer to help shape the coherence and scalability of our cloud-hosted ecosystem of applications. In this role, you focus on designing cross-application UX patterns, navigation models, and holistic, systemic design solutions that ensure a seamless, consistent, and human-centered experience across a growing suite of professional tools.

You’ll work with VirGeo’s Head of Design to define and translate strategic design principles into practical UX frameworks. You’ll be collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders from disciplines such as Business, Product, Commercial, Customer Success, Technology, Architecture and Branding. You’ll be working closely with other designers, researchers and developers to evolve our design language into a scalable, multi-brand foundation. Your work will directly impact how users navigate and interact with complex workflows, ensuring that every application contributes to a unified and intuitive ecosystem.

This is a unique opportunity for a designer who excels in systems thinking, enjoys solving interaction challenges at scale, and wants to leave a lasting mark on a groundbreaking product suite used by professionals around the world.

Your role

In this role you:

  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy while staying aligned with VirGeo’s growing design team to ensure strategic coherence and systemic quality across the platform. We are looking for a systems-minded UX Designer with strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Define and translate ecosystem-level design principles into concrete UX solutions across applications. You also design navigation and interaction models that enable seamless movement between tools.

  • Align existing applications with the overarching design language, ensuring consistency in flows, interactions, and UI.

  • Contribute to the evolution of Design Systems, including patterns, tokens, theming, and multi-brand adaptations. You collaborate with researchers to apply user insights to systemic UX decisions. You partner with developers to ensure high-quality implementation and adoption of design system elements.

  • Advocate for consistency, scalability, accessibility and usability across the product ecosystem. You stay ahead of design and technology trends, particularly in geo-data visualization, spatial interfaces, and enterprise-grade B2B tools. Also you help shape the strategic direction of UX systems within VirGeo’s design practice.

What you bring along

  • At least 5 years of experience in UX or Product design with a portfolio demonstrating experience within complex ecosystems or enterprise/SaaS environments. A background in Strategic Product Design or similar is preferred. You therefore have the ability to think in systems and patterns, not just individual applications and screens. You have a strong grasp of accessibility standards and best practices in responsive and adaptive design.

  • Strong in interaction design and information architecture. Demonstrated ability to create and evolve design systems and component libraries at scale using Figma.

  • Experience in the full product lifecycle from early discovery and low-fidelity concepts to final polish and post-launch iteration. And you bring knowledge of continuous discovery/delivery workflows and agile product development methodologies.

  • Comfortable working in English within an international, cross-functional team.

  • This role is ideal for someone who can think beyond screens; someone who has a holistic approach to designing flows, patterns, and frameworks that scale across applications and brands. You bring strong communication and storytelling skills. You can clearly articulate your design rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You can count on these employment conditions

  • A diverse and inclusive working environment;

  • Based on your relevant experience, the salary ranges from €6.100 to €7.000 gross per month. This amount is part of our salary range, with opportunities for growth within the role.
