Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for managing ROV procurement projects and activities and possess marine, subsea or oil and gas experiences to:

Source to Contract

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to understand technical requirements and develop procurement strategies.

  • Serve as the focal point for tactical business partnering with production and business stakeholders.

  • Responsible for cost control, material planning, central procurement implementation, and supplier management in ROV production.

  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) and Procurement standards.

  • Apply sourcing policies and act as the interface between potential suppliers and internal teams regarding technical services, statements of work, specifications, budgets, price inquiries, quotations, purchase orders, and subcontracting agreements.

  • Plan and purchase materials from both overseas and local suppliers, ensuring a minimum of three quotations and negotiating prices, terms, and conditions.

  • Prepare comparison sheets detailing price, terms, and lead times for approval prior to issuing purchase orders or executing agreements.

  • Negotiate and update approved suppliers’ annual pricing in the ERP system.

  • Follow up with suppliers to expedite orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to the site or warehouse, meeting all requirements.

  • Obtain and verify invoices, packing lists, and other required documents from overseas suppliers.

  • Resolve unmatched invoices and discrepancies related to purchasing documents such as POs, delivery orders, and invoices.

  • Manage supplier performance and audits effectively, and handle complaints and non-conformances in a structured manner.

  • Maintain the approved supplier list and ensure proper onboarding processes for new suppliers.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement systems and procedures.

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with Fugro’s policies, principles, standards, and procedures, while safeguarding suppliers, contractors, and service providers in accordance with corporate governance.

  • Responsible for achieving monthly EBIT savings and ensuring best value procurement.

Material Planning

  • Perform cost calculations for the production of the FCV system.

  • Conduct material planning and monitor delivery schedules, tracking shipments until goods arrive at the site or warehouse.

  • Work with the Bill of Materials (BOM) structure, issue work orders to the shop floor, and monitor/report progress to ensure production schedules are met.

  • Prepare packing lists and commercial invoices, and coordinate end-user statements for export control compliance.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree.

  • Proficient in English speaking, writing, and listening.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of working experience in planning and purchasing.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, planning, and documentation skills.

  • Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems such as IFS or Microsoft Navision.

  • Detail-oriented, hardworking, flexible, honest, and capable of multitasking.

  • Good communication skills, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal abilities.

  • Fast learner, efficient worker, able to perform under pressure, and highly responsible.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Navision or IFS ERP systems, with experience in Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
