Job Description

Executes planned maintenance or repairs to all systems, equipment, machinery etc.. When standing watch or when in charge of other work the 2/E supervises, executes leadership, transfers knowledge or trains personnel assigned to that work. In charge of the engine room, associated and mission machinery spaces. 
Provides support in areas such as production, operations, and maintenance to engineers and scientists for data acquisition and interpretation.

Job Requirements:

- 12 months in the rank of 2nd Engineer

- Certificate of Competence issued by the Brazilian Maritime Authority – STCW III/2.

- Certificate of Completion of the Improvement Course for Engine Officers (APMA).

- Must be medically fit

- Able to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities as a 2nd Engineer as per STCW

- Knowledge of the applicable codes, guidelines and standards

- Obligated to maintain secrecy regarding company and security information.

- DPVM

- Advanced English
