Do you want to be part of pioneering projects that redefine how vessels operate? We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer, in Nootdorp, the Netherlands, to shape the next generation of Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV). This is your opportunity to join a team that applies the newest technologies to build a fleet of USVs.
In this role, you take ownership of the electrical aspects of groundbreaking projects, from specifying system requirements to sub-contracting suppliers, serving as the key interface between suppliers and Fugro.
Your journey begins with contributing to developing next generation platforms or improving electrical systems of the existing fleet. Our fleet consists of remotely operated Inspection vessels equipped with advanced in-house ROV systems and survey equipment.
This is an office-based position that generally involves minimal international travel, with occasional short trips for project-related visits.
Your role
You have an innovative mindset as you will work on development of new technologies;
You create specifications and conceptual designs for electrical and automated ship systems, manage subcontracting, drawing approval and validate detailed designs;
For electrical aspects you act as the interface with the shipyard and system integrator, aligning all stakeholders on scope changes and project progress;
You safeguard that standards are met and participate in maintaining the standards;
You collaborate with partners and suppliers, ensuring quality, compliance, and project success;
You present proposals to management, participate in tender processes, and coordinate with procurement;
You provide ongoing fleet wide support, including diagnostics, system upgrades, and tailored solutions for retrofits;
You coordinate and attend FAT, HAT, and sea trials.
Your Track Record
You hold a BSc. in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a comparable discipline;
You have 8+ years technical project coordination skills, managing interfaces between shipyards, sub-contractors and internal stakeholders;
You have at least 5+ years in system integration within the maritime industry;
You have proven experience with power management systems and automated systems including Dynamic positioning.

Based on your relevant experience, the salary ranges from €5.500 to €7.500. This amount is part of our salary range, with opportunities for growth within the role;
