Responsibilities

  • Process and QAQC check classification, total stress and effective stress test results performed to BS1377, ASTM and ISO standards. Assist in the raw data input and reporting of advanced test methods. Check the work of other QAQC Engineers.

  • Produce AGS 4.0 data files, ASCII data etc.

  • Help in maintaining accreditation of the laboratory and promote good QAQC practices.

  • Record keeping and related day-to-day administration tasks to assist the department.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • Education: A Diploma in Geotechnical / Civil engineering or a relevant scientific or numerical subject (desired).

  • Working experience: 0 - 3 years.

  • Relevant experience, ideally in handling datasets. Experience in geotechnical laboratory testing (desired).

  • Languages & Proficiency: English.

  • Other: Excellent numeracy and literacy skills. Competent use of email.

  • Excellent IT skills particularly in modifying and using MS excel spreadsheets with embedded macros.

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
