Fugro invites you to join us as a Product Marketing Manager in Nootdorp, Netherlands. At Fugro, we’re not just exploring the Earth—we’re transforming how it’s understood.

As the Head of Commercial & Marketing for VirGeo®, you will drive the growth and visibility of our next-generation geodata platform. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Your mission is to deliver customer value by unlocking insights with Geo-data and accelerating VirGeo’s commercial success globally in the energy, water, and infrastructure industries.
VirGeo® is Fugro’s flagship Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. It empowers Geo-data professionals to securely access, deliver, and collaborate on data in real-time—enabling faster decisions, cost reductions, and driving project success.

Your Role

Leadership

  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing growth strategy aligned with VirGeo’s vision and roadmap.

  • Build and lead a high-performing international commercial team, building a culture of ownership, innovation, and collaboration.

  • Act as the key liaison between the VirGeo® team and the broader Fugro organization, aligning commercial initiatives with business lines and regional goals.

Sales enablement & growth

  • Coach and equip the commercial team to succeed, with a strong focus on discovery, consultative selling, and client-centric delivery.

  • Establish commercial processes and systems to support customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

  • Identify new opportunities for monetizing geodata products and services.

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Define and refine the digital go-to-market approach in close collaboration with the product team.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize product-market fit and ensure timely product delivery.

  • Support regional business lines with presentations, demos, and commercial proposals.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with Strategic Sales & Marketing, Leadership Innovation & Transformation and Business Line Directors to align efforts and drive impact.

  • Facilitate internal alignment across departments and regions, addressing dependencies and unlocking commercial synergies and opportunities.

  • Ensure continuous feedback loops from clients and internal stakeholders to inform product team and drive commercial decisions.

Your track record

  • You bring 8+ years of experience in commercial and marketing leadership, preferably within data or technology-driven environments.

  • You have a proven ability to lead through complexity, with a track record of delivering results in fast-paced, international settings.

  • You are customer-driven, data-savvy, and an inspiring leader who thrives on building from the foundation up.

  • Experience in business development, product management, and data-driven solutions.

Bonus points

  • Understanding of geodata value chains, GDPR, and data governance.

  • Startup or scale-up experience within a corporate environment is a strong plus.
