Job Description
Fugro Land Site Screening & Consulting provides comprehensive Geo-data, geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental consulting services that help clients confidently move projects from concept to construction. The Senior Project Geophysicist is responsible for leading and executing geophysical projects from planning through delivery. This role provides technical support in the acquisition, processing, interpretation, and reporting of geophysical data while overseeing project execution, field operations, client interactions, and project team members. The position operates with minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment in technical, operational, and project-related decisions.

Provides accurate and customized services of mainly moderate complexity to clients by conducting thorough data acquisition, analysis, interpretation and reporting of mainly moderate complexity Geophysical data.
Develops and delivers tailored client solutions by effectively integrating geophysical data with the appropriate context.
Provides targeted geophysical insights and advice in a number of specialized technical disciplines, influencing project direction.
Identifies enhancements to existing procedures and suggests refinements based on project needs.
Oversee field operations to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
Guide field crew in the proper application of geophysical methods and procedures.
Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements when necessary.
Support troubleshooting of field equipment, software, and operational issues.
Ensure field documentation and survey records are complete and accurate.
Performs QC on own work and offers recommendations on preliminary findings, including consideration of further investigative actions when necessary
Review collected data to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, or data quality concerns.
Support preparation of technical deliverables, maps, figures, and factual reports.
Utilize geophysical and geospatial software tools to support project execution.
Serve as a primary technical point of contact for assigned clients. Provides technical input to commercial tenders.
Participate in project scoping, proposal development, and technical discussions with clients.
Present project findings, recommendations, and interpretations to clients and stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for additional services and support business development initiatives.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
Possess or be able to obtain valid passport, possible international and domestic travel/assignments may be required.
Possess a bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Geosciences required.
Masters in Geophysics, Geology, Geosciences preferred.
Have at least 4 years or more of experience in geophysical data acquisition, data processing, and analysis, and report writing
Be familiar with geophysical methods such as GPR, EM, electrical resistivity, seismic, etc…
