Job Description

Fugro is a global leader in geo-data, helping our clients design, build and operate their assets in a safe, sustainable and efficient way.

We are looking for a technical support manager to lead the delivery of technical and operational support for our uncrewed surface vessel (USV) systems within Seakit.

This role plays a key part in improving the performance, reliability and uptime of our systems. You will lead a team of technical support engineers and work closely with engineering, operations and product teams to deliver structured, high-quality support. You will also drive improvements in processes, systems and ways of working, helping to move the function towards a more proactive and data-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of technical support engineers, fostering a collaborative and accountable environment;

  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of technical support to internal and external stakeholders;

  • Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues;

  • Manage priorities, workload and resource allocation across support activities;

  • Develop and improve technical support processes, including ticketing, troubleshooting and escalation;

  • Drive knowledge management and ensure effective documentation of issues and solutions;

  • Analyse support data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives;

  • Work closely with engineering, commissioning and operations teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential:

  • Experience working in a technical support or systems environment;

  • Experience of system testing, diagnostics or commissioning;

  • Knowledge of maritime systems, uncrewed systems or similar technologies;

  • Strong organisational and communication skills;

  • Experience leading or supporting technical teams;

  • A proactive and structured approach to problem solving.

Desirable:

  • Experience with uncrewed surface vessels;

  • Experience working with real-time systems or sensor integration;

  • Experience of process improvement or service delivery frameworks;

  • A people-focused and inclusive leadership style.
