Job Description

Fugro are looking for a higher education or university student to join our Aberdeen or Plymouth team on a 10-week paid summer internship, working on real projects that support global competence management and digital transformation.

At Fugro, we work at the forefront of geo-data, helping clients design, build and operate their assets safely and sustainably. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to that mission by supporting how we develop and track the competence of our global workforce.

As part of the Fugro Academy, you’ll be involved in a global programme focused on technical competence, learning systems, and digital reporting. You’ll gain hands-on experience developing automated dashboards and insights that help the business understand training progress, competence assessment activity, and system adoption across regions.

Working alongside experienced professionals in learning, HR, and digital teams, you’ll build practical skills in data, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration—while gaining valuable insight into how a global organisation operates.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and improvement of automated KPI dashboards and digital reports

  • Work with learning, HR, and digital teams to gather and understand reporting requirements

  • Assist with testing, validation, and refinement of reporting outputs

  • Contribute to ensuring data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems

  • Help document processes and support project handovers at the end of the internship

What You’ll Need to Thrive in This Role:

  • Currently studying towards, or recently completed, a degree or higher education qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, HR, Learning & Development)

  • An interest in digital tools, data, and how organisations manage performance and learning

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines effectively

  • Curious mindset with a willingness to learn and develop new skills

  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a professional team environment

  • Good attention to detail, particularly when working with data and reporting
