Fugro’s innovation teams are responsible for carrying out developments serving both internal users and Fugro clients. With Innovation centers in Canada, Brazil, the USA, and other key locations around the world, you will be joining a global innovation group with a tradition of developing best-of-class applications in the Geo-data space. Our engineers are experts in domains such as spatial data, cloud computing, deep learning, and process automation.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Fugro, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of innovative software products, ensuring the quality, timelines, and cost-effectiveness of innovation projects are achieved. Your work will comply with company standards, and you will be actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the engineering process by delivering safe and high-quality software increments.

You will report directly to the Innovation Manager – Brazil and will be a key member of the Americas Region Innovation Team.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.

• Develop and maintain high-quality software during its lifecycle.
  Implement software projects using C# and Angular, or similar technologies.
  Ensure regular communication with other developers and teams involved in the development process.

• Deliver and recommend architectural solutions to the product.

• Implement, test, and perform system and functionality corrections (bug fixes).

• Act as a member throughout the delivery process of agile methodologies using Scrum.

• Build and maintain efficient and reliable/stable source codes.

• Collaborate with team members at all stages, from prototype to production, and implementation/progress throughout the project.

• Solve complex real-world challenges effectively, efficiently, and creatively.

• Act as a quality keeper by documenting code, processes, and architectural decisions, increasing code coverage continuously.

Requirements:

You must have:

• Legally authorized to work in Brazil without restrictions.

• An intermediate level of spoken and written English.

• 8+ years of experience coding with C#, Angular, or similar.

• Experience with API development.

• Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with test automation.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and GitHub.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred:

• Cloud Certifications, preferably AWS, are preferred.

• Familiarity with GitHub and GitHub Actions.

• Previous experience working with geospatial data.
