Job Description

Step into a high‑exposure FP&A role at the heart of Fugro’s finance department in Nootdorp, the Netherlands, where you drive strategic decision‑making by delivering sharp, timely insights that support the Supervisory Board, Executive Committee, and global business leaders.

You play a key role in Fugro’s finance transformation — challenging existing processes, championing continuous improvement, and helping implement new technologies, including advanced analytics, AI, and machine‑learning tools. You’re not just part of the transition; you help shape it. You will strengthen the financial planning cycle, while continuously improving reporting, scenario analysis, and business case processes. The visibility and impact of this role will create strong opportunities for growth within dynamic, publicly listed company.

Your role

• You develop meaningful KPIs, performance reporting, and Power BI dashboards that provide deep insights into business results, ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and consistently reported from transaction level to group consolidation.

• You lead the monthly forecasting process by preparing gap analyses and benchmarking financial and cost performance against historical trends and competitors.

• You generate actionable insights by analysing KPI variances and macroeconomic trends, translating findings into clear recommendations for management.

• You monitor the impact of improvement initiatives and proactively highlight financial risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders.

• You act as a sparring partner to the Group Controller, CFO, and Investor Relations on financial planning, performance insights, and analytical rigor.

Your Trackrecord

• You preferably have a Master degree in Business Economics or a related field;

• You have 4+ years working experience with controlling, accounting, advisory or business analysis roles, preferably in an international environment;

• You have solid accounting knowledge;

• You demonstrate strong Excel/ financial modelling skills. Experience with Power BI and tools such as Tagetik or similar solutions is a plus;

• You’re digitally savvy: comfortable working with modern tools, eager to adopt new technologies, and motivated to streamline and improve processes;

• You enjoy solving problems, see trends, have a helicopter view, and think in scenario’s and you are comfortable turning complex data into insights/stories/recommendations;

• You are fluent in English (written and spoken).

What Fugro offers

• Based on your relevant experience, the salary ranges from €4.600 to €5.780. This amount is part of our salary range, with opportunities for growth within the role;
