Lead and grow Fugro’s Geophysical & Geotechnical business in Norway

Fugro is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Service Line Manager for Norway to take full ownership of our Geophysical & Geotechnical portfolio in Norway. This is a key leadership role, where you will shape direction, growth and culture in a high‑performing environment.

The Role

As Service Line Manager, you hold overall responsibility for the performance and development of the Geophysical & Geotechnical Service Line in Norway. You will lead the service line in alignment with Fugro’s local and global strategies, working closely with the Regional Service Line Director and regional/global service line leadership. The role combines strategic business development with strong operational leadership and includes active participation in the regional service line management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Geophysical & Geotechnical Service Line in Norway with P&L accountability, contributing to the overall P&L across the Europe & Africa region

  • Strengthen and grow Fugro’s position in the Norwegian offshore geophysical and geotechnical (Marine Site Characterisation) market

  • Build and develop key accounts and strong client relationships and convert into solid orderbook

  • Develop and execute short‑ to mid‑term strategy in close collaboration with the Norway leadership team and Regional Directors, aligned with global objectives

  • Lead the Norway based MSC staff across several departments and ensure strong in-office engagement whilst operating in a regional and global organisation

  • Drive sales and business development from lead to contract (tenders/negotiations), with pricing strategies that secure healthy margins

  • Ensure robust contract and risk management to avoid unacceptable risk, liquidated damages and commercial leakages

  • Deliver safe, efficient projects on time, budget and quality; optimise resource utilisation, digital development and continuous improvement based on client feedback

  • Demonstrate visible QHSSE leadership and ensure compliance with Fugro’s QHSSE systems, policies and standards

  • Lead, develop and recruit talent; drive performance management, succession and an inclusive, high‑performing culture

Qualifications

We are looking for a leader with a solid technical and commercial background and a track record of delivering results in complex environments.

  • Professional proficiency in Norwegian and English

  • 8–15 years of relevant experience (project management, business development, financial management or client responsibility)

  • 3–8 years of leadership experience with people and budget responsibility

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, science, business/management or administration

  • Proven P&L ownership and experience with tenders, pricing and contract negotiations

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience establishing pricing strategies and margin protection
