Job Description
Job Summary:
Working with a multi-national Geoscience company, the Service Line Manager – Metocean & Environmental reports to the Regional Business Line Director (RBLD) and holds responsibility for the QHSE, P&L, operational and technical performance of the service line in APAC. Is directly responsible for line and staff operations in the APAC region.
Role covers management of both Asia and the Pacific sub region and encompasses strong emphasis on supporting existing business whilst diversifying into Environmental business objectives under Fugro’s 2030 strategy which requires close working with the Climate and Nature group and meeting Fugro’s growth objectives in these areas. This will require a strategic mindset and seeking opportunities to collaborate within the Environmental space to deliver growth in targeted areas including Pacific subregion alongside focus areas in O&G and OWF across Asia and understanding Developer Consenting challenges.

Objectives & Responsibilities
Is responsible for the profitability and growth of the service line
Directs the organisation in establishing long-range plans, strategy and policy in order to create a dedicated focus on the strategic goals of the organisation.
Wins project opportunities with the service line by 1) developing and delivering the short-term service line strategy, 2) developing and maintaining client satisfaction, sustainable revenue and profit growth and, 3) successfully applying innovative solutions.
Appropriately engaged, coordinating and supporting local business development for the service across regions.
Own and drive account planning and management of key clients across regions. Visit key stakeholders.
Analyse and address key market opportunities and competitive threats.
Ensure marketing material is developed.

Strategic performance
Actively involved in mid-to-long term strategy and targets for service
Actively involved in the global strategy & framework for the service in co-ordination with Global Service Line Director and regional Service Line Managers / Directors for Metocean/Environmental
Actively involved in short-to-mid-term planning, execution & realisation for service
Commercial performance
Actively involved on tender development for large opportunities
Responsible for sales management (prospect to tender) for key customers of service
Actively involved in bid / no bid & project set up definition for service opportunities
Customer performance
Revenue growth key customers – amount of revenues generated for key clients
Actively involved in selection of key customers, account plan development, execution and review for service
Fugro market share/position compared to competitors in the market
Quality of and effective communications towards customers, ability to promote all Fugro services
Customer satisfaction score – Net Promoter Score (% Promoters minus % Detractors)
Financial performance
Revenue generated and growth – rate at which the company’s income is increasing
EBIT percentage of your revenue performance
Large tender success rate
Strategic Direction, Budgeting & Realisation, Capital Allocation
Internal processes
Project Execution, Delivery Excellence.
Steer the service performance with input from Operational Excellence team.
Informed on project management (start-up to evaluation)
As per latest version of Fugro RACI table.
Actively support the companies Quality, Safety and Environmental performance indicators (QHSSE targets)

Informed on directly related to the service line employees’ plans and movements

Essential Requirements:
Effective communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken English
Skills and experience in managing Metocean projects especially Deep Water Metocean Measurements and Floating LiDAR Buoy projects.
Thorough knowledge of other keys services such as Metocean Consultancy, Environmental Monitoring and systems integration alongside Weather Forecasting.
Deep understanding of Commercial drivers and approaches in Metocean and Environmental tendering.
Strong management skills in resource planning; financial planning, tracking and control; documentation development and tracking
Team player with strong leadership and willingness to develop others; able to handle conflicts
High focus on project quality and HSE performance, experience in risk assessment techniques and exercise
Prepared to travel and working long hours and/or during odd hours; as and when required
Candidates should preferably have the right to live and work in Singapore
Desirable Experience:
Degree (or equivalent) in one Geoscience related discipline (Oceanography, an Environmental discipline, Coastal Zone Management, etc).
Understanding of consenting and environmental objectives associated with supporting developers in obtaining Consent licenses.
Experience in project management
Experience working with multinational company
Minimum 10 years working experience in relevant field, in marine survey and/or telecom / energy industry
