We are currently recruiting a Service Line Manager to oversee our Marine Inspection & Monitoring service line based in Dubai, UAE. As the Service Line Manager, you are responsible for the profitability and growth of the region, functions, business line, and / or service line. You will direct the organisation in establishing long-range plans, strategies, and policies to create a dedicated focus on delivering organisational and business line strategic goals. You will also manage service line assets and resources, including office and operational staff. The role involves accountability for the entire project cycle delivery in the Marine Inspection & Monitoring portfolio within the Marine Asset Integrity business line. This shall align with the regional MI&M strategies and develop a short-term service line strategy.  The focus shall be on business development, contractual awards and executing the projects accordingly. In this role, you shall act/coordinate business development and commercial activity to generate early customer engagement. You shall be fully aware of the project's contractual and commercial conditions, provide direct support to the project management teams, drive technology adoption/implementation and ensure cross-regional execution standardisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Efficient & Effective delivery:

  • Ensure active and accurate delivery through all project management stakeholders.

  • Ensure support for efficient and effective delivery of project execution through the project management delivery streams/processes.

Engagement & Providing feedback:

  • Maintain relationships with key project management and business stakeholders plus experts to implement a strong project management foundation across the region (i.e., processes, procedures, standards, guidelines & best practices).

  • Provide guidance and collect feedback on the operational implementation process (i.e., adoption or adaption).

  • Drive professional and career development of project management team members to build on their development areas and exercise their strength.

HSE/Compliance:

  • Shows and applies genuine management commitment and exemplary leadership to deepen and strengthen our safety culture, with a specific focus on ensuring new developments drive down HSSE risk.

  • Ensure that all staff involved in implementation and pilots continuously apply the Fugro values, complying with the Code of Conduct and adhering to the Fugro Life Saving Rules of HSE by securing a healthy and safe working environment.

What Skills & Experience Will You Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering

  • 8-15+ years’ experience a Snr Manager position within a similar industry

  • 3-8 years’ experience in team (direct or remote) management, including management of technical projects executed by contractors, vendors, or other 3rd party groups.

  • Solid understanding of marine asset inspection, subsea technologies, and related methods for subsea asset integrity, along with a foundational knowledge of survey processes and standards.

  • Ability to clearly define roles, responsibilities & accountabilities for decision-making hierarchies and establish controls, approvals, and monitoring for compliance.

  • Sound understanding of a project’s fundamental components, including its scope, deliverables, schedule, milestones, and resource requirements.

  • Cross-Cultural Awareness

  • Ability to effectively share the ‘wisdom’’ that comes from the required work experience

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills

  • Proven experience in influencing and inspiring diverse groups of people sitting across various geographic locations to work as a team

  • Proven ability to take a business strategy or vision and translate it into a realistic, timely and cost-effective action plan
