National Grid is one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world and it owns and manages 7,500 kilometres of power lines in England and Wales.
Fugro will apply its innovative asset inspection and modelling solutions, including Roames. These deliver accurate 3D models of a power company’s assets combined with intelligent, cloud-based analytics to extract valuable information on asset condition and integrity.
‘We look forward to working with National Grid on this important contract. It highlights Fugro’s continuing focus on developing asset management solutions that help utilities reduce their operational costs while improving safety and customer service,’ said Mark Heine, Fugro Survey Director.
With Roames Fugro monitors more than one million spans of electricity network on a yearly cycle, with the service currently available in Australia, Europe and the USA.
At the European Utility Week Conference, November 3-5 in Vienna, Austria (booth A.h17), Fugro will have available more information about Roames and its asset management solutions.
