The contract includes the collection of pavement data and right of way images of approximately 4,000-5,000 miles of state-owned highways every alternate year until 2018. The data and the images collected will be used by ODOT for network-level pavement management, project-level pavement evaluation and Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) reporting.
Over the duration of the contract, Fugro will provide ODOT with a comprehensive catalogue of their pavement condition data. All collected video images will be integrated for display within Fugro's iVision software, which displays ODOT’s data in maps, charts and tables in a user customizable format as required by any agency staff. The combination of data and integrated analytical results will provide valuable and actionable information to ODOT decision-makers.
David Lowe, Fugro Roadware’s Managing Director, stated, “We are really looking forward to teaming up with the Oregon DOT on this project and building upon this new partnership. This is a great opportunity for Fugro to collaborate with ODOT in supporting their program, which plays a vital role in building and maintaining the public infrastructure for the people of Oregon who rely on it each and every day.”
