Job Description

The Senior Airworthiness and Quality Control Inspector ensures that all aircraft meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational readiness. This role is critical in maintaining regulatory adherence and operational excellence through detailed inspections, documentation, and certification processes in accordance with FAA regulations and internal quality protocols.
This position is based in Rapid City, SD.

Job Responsibilities
Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft, components, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Certify aircraft for airworthiness in accordance with aviation authority regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA).
Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel and cross-functional teams.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency and ensure seamless workflow integration.
Stay current with advancements in aviation technology, inspection methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of non-conformities and safety incidents.
Design and deliver training programs focused on quality control, airworthiness, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct internal and external quality audits to assess adherence to standards and identify improvement areas.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance General Procedures and Quality Control Manual.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance quality and safety outcomes.

Job Requirements
Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; bachelor’s degree in aviation, maintenance, engineering or related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance and quality control.
Extensive knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA).
Experience in aircraft maintenance quality control such as Chief Inspector
Excellent leadership, management, and organizational skills.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) required.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record
Possess a high level of knowledge and capability in quality control within a Part 91 aviation business.
Have detailed knowledge of HSSE and ISO requirements and procedures as they relate to aviation maintenance.
Travel up to 25% for this job opportunity.
