Job Description
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Project Manager, ideally with a Hydrographic or Geophysical Survey background, to join our established Australian Marine Site Characterisation service line.
This position has become available due to recent structural changes, which offers a great opportunity to get involved in a broad variety of different projects and make this role your own.
Based in our Perth or Adelaide office, reporting to the Geophysical and Hydrography Service Line Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Managing projects from beginning to end to meet client objectives
Establish, maintain and monitor project schedules; from planning and design phases to survey execution
Control and monitor project financial performance
Work with clients, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure permitting, hazard’s, emergency response etc. are in place to achieve project success
Work closely with suppliers, sub-contractors, party chiefs and team leaders to ensure project goals are achieved
Occasional travel for project purposes such as client visits, project mobilisations and project completions
Involvement with sourcing and preparing for new project opportunities, including conversations with existing clients and proposal submission

This role forms part of the Geophysics and Hydrography service line. We combine cutting-edge techniques with a deep understanding of environmental dynamics to help clients create sustainable solutions. Our survey methods include airborne lidar bathymetry, multispectral imaging, and vessel-based multibeam technologies. Furthermore, we acquire geophysical data to assist in the assessment of seafloor and sub-seafloor conditions for various projects including offshore windfarms.

About You

Sound understanding of project management principles and industry standard project management software
Emotional intelligence with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, sub-contractors and suppliers
Attention to detail with a strong focus on effective resource management
Flexible, reliable, independent, and able to work well in a constantly changing environment
Background in Survey, Geophysical or Geotechnical fields preferred
Extra things that we value:
Tertiary education in Surveying, Geotechnical Engineering, Geophysics, Geoscience, Geospatial or related degree
Offshore experience
Hydrographic or Lidar experience
