Job Description
In Geotechnics we provide marine geotechnical services to determine and manage the ground risk associated with marine project development. Using technical expertise, advanced exploration tools, field and laboratory testing, computer simulations and quantitative methods, we identify, evaluate and resolve your geotechnical design challenges.
The Project Coordinator in Marine Geotechnical's Project Management department, you will assist in the program and project activities, including assisting in the preparation of proposals, presentation of capabilities to potential clients, compliance with contract terms and conditions, project setup, communicating specifications, monitoring and reporting progress, schedule and budget compliance, coordinating project teams, revenue recognition and invoicing, and project closeout for all projects and customers. You shall ensure optimum project performance and client satisfaction and ensure effective solutions are developed for project problems that may develop.
Job Responsibilities

Provide coordination of project management operations and staff to ensure delivery of complex solutions which meet client expectations as well as achieve expected business results.
Support client relationships (expectations, communications, negotiations, escalation, feedback, etc.) and coordinate relationships with key client stakeholders and client executives and ensure an appropriate level of participation to enhance project success and client satisfaction.
Monitor project schedules, in coordination with management, and track milestone. deliverables to successful completion to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
Review and verify project planning materials before project begins.
Develop the necessary reporting and communication tools and provide effective, timely, and informative communication to internal team and clients throughout the project’s lifecycle.
Identify business opportunities in coordination with management and through direct project coordination to maximize sales under existing and potential contracts.
Participate in project design and proposal teams to win business and ensure the profitability of the business won.
Monitor financial aspects of projects and handle billing and other financial items.
Remain current on changes within the industry through publications, continuing education, etc.
Ensures vessel contractual and commercial mechanisms are in place as required (e.g. charter party and invoicing).
Ensures that suitable arrangements have been made with agents and third-party suppliers to arrange services (e.g. berths, fuel, mobilization services), with support of operations and logistics departments.
Collaborates with onshore and offshore teams to minimize leakage costs (e.g. more efficient crew changes / project mobilization and demobilization
Oversees the allocation of vessel costs to projects (for example splitting agents fees etc.)
Provides technical and operational advice to commercial and project managers on capability of vessel (for example for input to PEPs and tenders)
Job Requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
Possess a Bachelor's in Business, Engineering, or Project Management
Coursework in project management is preferred.
Have 3 years or more of successful project experience in marine geotechnics.
Have 1 year or more of progressively responsible experience in client interactions.
Expected working towards a Project Management Qualification such as Prince II, PMQ or PMP Must be proficient in MS Office.
Must possess a deep understanding of project management tools and approaches to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to final delivery.
Must possess excellent collaboration skills to effectively partner with other companies, superiors, and co-workers, with demonstrated facilitation ability to drive cross-functional team meetings.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
