Job Description

For our  Nootdorp office we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work on robotic systems and newly designed geotechnical equipment in the innovation pipeline.  As a member of the Innovation Technology Commissioning and Implementation group, you will focus on thorough testing, design improvement implementation and commissioning, optimizing performance and reliability.

You will be working on the mechanical aspects of the equipment that operate in extreme conditions, such as large water depths and harsh environment. The products vary from precision mechanical measuring instruments to fully independent (underwater) working electrical/hydraulically driven systems, which can be used onshore or offshore and, in some cases, subsea.

Your role

  • You liaise with the design team to review, advice and consult on practical and safety related aspects of the design;

  • You are in the lead during the execution of acceptance testing and validation and active in field pilot projects;

  • You complete technical upgrades and update technical manuals;

  • You interact with the operations department on issues found in the field and are creative in finding and solving issues and be a point of contact for the mechanical side of the products taking part in the innovation 3rd line support;

  • You contribute to a collaborative and professional atmosphere in our team.

Your track record

  • You have a bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering;

  • You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience as designer or constructor;

  • You can handle well 3D CAD systems, Preferably Creo (Pro-Engineer);

  • You have a self-driven attitude;

  • Fluent command of the English language;

  • You have a practical mindset with an appetite for learning new skills.
